Ice Cats - Girls Hockey
The Troy Albany Ice Cats female hockey teams marked their 30th season in 2023. Much has changed since the 1993-94 season but the goal of developing players and providing a positive environment for our players and families has not.
Our Ice Cats become better players, form lasting friendships, graduate from high school and make their way to college.
To date, more than 85 Ice Cats have gone on to play college hockey at Division I, Division II, and Club levels.
Our coaching staff is experienced (and includes 3 former Ice Cats) and they work very hard to develop all of our players.
2025/2026 - 8U Ice Cats
- Supplemental to co-ed mite team
- 1 Practice per month
- 3 – 5 Games
- 1 Tournament
2025/2026 - 10U Ice Cats
- Supplemental to co-ed squirt team
- 2 Practices per month
- 10 - 12 Games
- 2 - 3 Tournaments
- Girls from other organizations outside of TAHA permitted to participate
2025/2026 - 12U Ice Cats
- State Tournament bound
- Supplemental to co-ed pee-wee team
- 1 Practice per week
- 15 Games
- 2 Tournaments including the Empire State Games
- Girls from other organizations outside of TAHA permitted to participate
2025/2026 - 16U/19U Ice Cats
- Full time tournament bound
- 2 Practices per week
- 30-40 Games
- 2-4 Tournaments

2025-2026 Season
At the 8U, 10U and 12U levels, teams will be supplemental to the player's full time co-ed team. Our 12U team will be State Tournament eligible, and plans to participate in the Empire State Games. Players from organizations outside of TAHA are encouraged to register for the 10U and 12U teams!
Our 16/19 team also plans to be Tournament Bound at the 19U level, and is full time.
